Introduction
Welcome to RegionFlex.
The general structure:
- Project: An organizational grouping. A single project has its own set of regions, its own tags, its own organizations invited to collaborate on it, etc. One organization can have many projects.
- Region: A region is a given area - a map, a set of addresses, etc. that can be searched
- Feature: A feature is a point or area within a region (e.g., a city council district). The result of a query (the query asks: "what features contain or are closest to this point?")
- Shape: In a map region, a shape is a polygon, circle, or point on the map. To be returned in a query on a map region, a feature must contain one or more shapes
